Turkish President Recip Tayyip Erdogan threw the desperate and threatening letter that President Trump sent to him right into the trash, the BBC reports. The widely ridiculed letter from Trump, released on Wednesday, begged Turkey not to invade northern Syria and told Erdogan: “Don’t be a tough guy. Don’t be a fool!”
He also said in the letter sent last week: “Let’s work out a good deal! You don’t want to be responsible for slaughtering thousands of people, and I don’t want to be responsible for destroying the Turkish economy—and I will.”
The letter reportedly received a furious response from Erdogan. Turkish government sources told BBC News: “President Erdogan received the letter, thoroughly rejected it and put it in the bin.” On the day the letter was received, Trump’s pleas were a day late and a dollar short, as they say. Turkey had already launched a cross-border offensive against Kurdish-led forces in Syria.

So far in this fiasco, which had two-thirds of the GOP vote against the President in a resolution condemning his removal of US troops, Trump seems to look weaker and weaker the more people look into the matter.
Many thought this letter was phony, initially — as it is so weak it could have seemingly been forged by a rival. But no, it is very real and now it is really in some trash bin over in Turkey.
To add insult to injury, it was reported that Trump totally melted down in a meeting with Democrats over the matter. Apparently, Trump can’t believe that the GOP is turning against him, which the vote showed a sign of, at least.
After that circus, Trump went out and attacked pretty much everyone. He then called for investigations of the 2016 election and President Obama who he pretty much accused of treason in a bizarre address to the press. He provided absolutely no new evidence to back his claims — nor has anyone else.
Also, keep in mind, the Obama administration had no indictments over eight years while Trump’s has seen dozens in under three years.
