Donald J. Trump seems to dig his hole a little deeper every day. Today, the POTUS went on Twitter to praise Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana for his appearance on Meet The Press where he shamelessly promoted and defended propaganda that is well known to be put out by Vladimir Putin and his Russian government. These are the same “talking points” that Kennedy, in a moment of sanity, denounced just last Monday after parroting them the previous weekend.
Thank you to Great Republican @SenJohnKennedy for the job he did in representing both the Republican Party and myself against Sleepy Eyes Chuck Todd on Meet the Depressed!

The propaganda is this — that it was Ukraine who was really hacking and interfering in the 2016 election. Those assertions have been categorically debunked. The source of them have been traced to Putin’s propaganda machine.
Forget the childish insults towards anyone who dares call out the truth to Trump’s power — something that has become so commonplace that no one seems to pay it any mind anymore — the way a parent ignores a child throwing a temper tantrum. The sad fact is that Trump is now fully embracing the Kremlin and the propaganda it spews.
Now, Kennedy, who spent the July 4th holiday in Russia in 2018, seems to be rivaling Lindsey Graham in being the head cheerleader for Putin’s propaganda.
Here’s the interview that Trump is referring to where in many people’s eyes, Kennedy is wittingly or unwittingly acting as a Russian propaganda agent:
Unfortunately for Trump and Kennedy, what Fiona Hill, considered to be one of the best experts on the subject, has said about this propaganda is not an opinion — it is a fact. Here is what she said:
“In the course of this investigation, I would ask that you please not promote politically driven falsehoods that so clearly advance Russian interests, I refuse to be part of an effort to legitimize an alternate narrative that the Ukrainian government is a U.S. adversary, and that Ukraine — not Russia —attacked us in 2016.”
The articles that Kennedy cites all go back to a Federalist blog post that is based on nothing. The court ruling that Kennedy refers to has since been canceled. It is all bunk, to put it simply.
Morning Joe spent some time with Kennedy’s alleged “source” and totally debunked everything Kennedy and Trump are propagating. Check it out below:
