What exactly has become of Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC)? There was a time when he warned that if the GOP nominated Donald Trump, they’d get destroyed, Politico notes:

During the 2016 campaign, Graham had called Trump a “nutjob” and a loser,” as well as a “race-baiting, xenophobic, religious bigot.” He predicted that if the GOP nominated him, “we will get destroyed … and we will deserve it.”

Now, however, Graham is one of Trump’s most ardent (and at times absurd) defenders, even suggesting when impeachment began that he wouldn’t even bother to look at the evidence gathered by the House Intelligence Committee.

So maybe you’re wondering: What happened to Lindsey?

Former Secretary of State and 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton was asked that very question by radio host Howard Stern.

Clinton began by recalling that when she was in the Senate, she traveled all over the world with Graham, saying he was “good company,” “funny,” and “self-deprecating.” She added:

“He also believed in climate change back in those days.

“I saw him as somebody who, you know, had been working to try to figure out what he believed and how he could do things.”

Stern then asked Clinton if she thought Graham had “sold his soul to the devil.”

Clinton replied:

“I don’t know the answer to that. I think that’s a fair question, however. And what I don’t understand is how he went from being the friend and the real confidant of the maverick, John McCain, who you know I didn’t agree with politically but I found him to be a man of integrity, a man of real strength of conviction.

“I don’t know what’s happened to Lindsey Graham. I’ll be honest with you. I haven’t talked to him in a long time.”

The former Secretary of State also told Stern that Graham had once written a tribute to her in Time magazine.

But it was what Clinton had to say next that will probably most enrage Graham:

“And now, it’s like he had a brain snatch, you know?”

Yes, we do indeed know. Apparently, you play a few rounds of golf with Donald Trump the way Graham has and suddenly your brain refuses to work.

Brain snatch is what can be said for anyone who still supports the wannabe dictator in the White House who thinks the law doesn’t apply to him. Provided, of course, some of them even had a brain in the first place.
