President Donald Trump’s son, Eric — much like his father — almost never bothers to think before he fires off a tweet, and that backfired badly on him Friday morning.
Just minutes after the House Judiciary Committee passed two articles of impeachment against President Trump, Eric posted this tweet:
It must really infuriate the Democrats that in the middle of this impeachment nonsense, the stock market is off to another record day! ? pic.twitter.com/Np8tSxBkwd
— Eric Trump (@EricTrump) December 13, 2019
Using that badly flawed logic, one could also argue that the stock market was heartened by the fact that Trump is indeed being impeached, meaning that the financial world is delighted by what transpired in the judiciary committee.
Eric was quickly hit with internet karma:
Wall St. loves impeachment.

So impeachment helps the market. Thanks, gummy!

This all about the alleged “trade deal” daddy has touting and nobody has any idea what the details are. But the rumor sell the news

Or, using a little thought, the market is hopeful for his removal.

Not really, @realDonaldTrump assured us that markets would crash if he were impeached.
So, it’s actually good to know that Americans can impeach him, with the reassurance that it isn’t affecting the market negatively, as Trump suggested.
Markets might even *like* impeachment.

I know you’re not that smart, but this shows that impeachment is good for the stock market, not that it’s doing well in spite of impeachment.
— Nobe (@nobedevil) December 13, 2019
and pops said the market would crash due to impeachment….
