In yet another brilliant shot at President Donald Trump’s most loyal supporters, GOP strategist Rick Wilson created a list of 11 rules Republicans must follow if they worship Trump.
After Trump delivered a statement regarding an Iranian missile strike against two military bases in Iraq, which was in retaliation against his assassination of General Qasem Suleimani, Senator Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) went full sycophant by comparing Trump’s sniffling, heavy breathing and slurring speech to former President Ronald Reagan’s “Tear Down This Wall” speech.
Reagan’s speech is considered one of the greatest speeches in American history, and Trump’s was nowhere near that level.
You can even listen to them both via YouTube and compare them for yourself.
In addition to not being remotely close to Reaganesque, Trump’s speech was full of lies. Iran’s increasing hostility only began after he withdrew the United States from the Iran nuclear deal and began his “maximum pressure” campaign. He also repeatedly tried to lay the blame on former President Barack Obama. The problem is that the Iran nuclear deal reached under Obama actually worked as Iran had been complying with it for years even after Trump withdrew. Trump is the one who has been escalating hostilities and forcing Iran to respond in kind. The Iranians have even withdrawn from the nuclear deal in response to Trump’s actions and will likely begin enriching uranium once again, an activity they had ceased under the nuclear deal. Trump can promise all he wants that Iran won’t get a nuclear weapon, but he destroyed the very agreement that prevented that from actually happening.
In response to Graham’s sycophantic praise, Wilson posted a set of rules on Twitter for Republican Trump supporters to follow.
2/
– Never be the first guy to stop clapping when Trump speaks.
– It is always the Year Zero; memory and consistency is the enemy of loyalty in the Trump world.
– Your superlatives are insufficient. Praising Trump properly demands a new vocabulary of obsequiousness.

3/ – Your humiliation in his service will asymptotically approach infinity, with the pain and shame mounting but never reaching the sweet release of death.
– Never tell him the truth. He is the tallest, most handsome, brilliant, and richest man in the room.
— Rick Wilson (@TheRickWilson) January 9, 2020
4/ – Even when he’s wrong (and he’s almost always wrong), race for the TV cameras to proclaim that you and everyone else was simply unable to grasp the sublime complexity of his 47-dimensional chess game.
— Rick Wilson (@TheRickWilson) January 9, 2020
5/ – If he wants to mount your spouse, let him. You let him screw your reputation, honor, dignity, principles, and political priors. Why not your wife?
– Always give the Trump Crime Family a cut of your consulting contracts for the campaign and the RNC.
— Rick Wilson (@TheRickWilson) January 9, 2020
6/ – Never forget that if you don’t suck the chrome off the metaphorical trailer hitch, someone else in Washington will. It is a city without elected heroes.
– He will let you die in prison. Prepare accordingly.
— Rick Wilson (@TheRickWilson) January 9, 2020
7/ – Snitch of get snitched on. Trust no one. Lie constantly. Don’t sleep in the same place more than two nights. Moscow rules.
— Rick Wilson (@TheRickWilson) January 9, 2020
These rules really should be posted just outside the entrance to the U.S. Senate and the House of Representatives, especially since Trump’s impeachment trial will likely move forward sometime this year.
