President Donald Trump got a whole lot more than he bargained for when he attacked Rosie O’Donnell at a campaign rally he held Friday evening in Las Vegas.

During an extended rant that sound like a Festivus airing of grievances, Trump whined that the law had been applied unfairly to him and his supporters, which led him to turn his fire to O’Donnell, who allegedly made contributions above the federal limit to five candidates in the 2018 midterm election:

“Rosie O’Donnell — that was a massive violation of the campaign finance laws, but Dinesh D’Souza, they wanted to put him in jail … for doing something that was really understandable. Rosie O’Donnell, five times — what she did is incredible, nothing happens.”

Minutes later, O’Donnell responded to Trump’s remarks, and she made it clear that the president had chosen the wrong person to mess with:

That was all it took for others to join the conversation online and applaud O’Donnell for taking no crap from the Donald:
