President Donald Trump is attempting to use the coronavirus outbreak in the United States to build momentum for his long-promised wall on the U.S.-Mexico border, and Twitter is pushing back on his scare tactics.
On Tuesday morning, the president retweeted a post from Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, a group that all but worships Trump and supports him no matter what he says or does. The tweet from Kirk suggests that the border wall would have helped prevent coronavirus from getting to the United States, which is patently untrue:

The blatant racism and xenophobia in the posting by Trump and Kirk drew sharp criticism:
