In his Oval Office address Wednesday evening, President Donald Trump urged “unity” and said the coronavirus pandemic required that we all “put politics aside” in an effort to face the threat caused by the virus, remarking:
“We are all in this together. We must put politics aside, stop the partisanship, and unify together as one nation and one family.”
And yet, despite that admonition, the president was up bright and early Thursday morning, watching Fox News and launching a Twitter attack on Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA):
“Nancy Pelosi all of a sudden doesn’t like the payroll tax cut, but when Obama proposed it she thought it was a brilliant thing that all of the working families would benefit from because if you get a paycheck, you’re going to take home more money.” @kilmeade @foxandfriends

What exactly does that do to unify the country? If that’s “putting politics aside,” it sure sounds like a personal attack on Speaker Pelosi.
It didn’t take long for social media to remind Trump that he’d just violated his own pledge to unify the nation in the battle against a deadly pandemic:
This is why ur precious #stockmarket is one of the worst in history now. Bc instead of spending ALL your time focused on fighting #coronavirus, creating effective testing & treatment plans & assuring the public…you WASTE your time w/ BULLSHIT like this. You’re a HUGE failure…

Who had “less than 12 hours” in their office pool of when Trump would violate his own public plea to not be a complete partisan asshole?

Good Lord. We are in the middle of a public health crisis and you are tweeting resentful political garbage about the woman who terrifies you. What an embarrassment to this nation state. What a stain on the presidency. You should resign.

You claim in your oval office/ campaign speech last night, to put the
bi partisanship aside, how’s that working out for you. pic.twitter.com/ch1vpYsA2k— @amayszing greyce (@amayzing_greyce) March 12, 2020
Is this the unity of which you speak?

Just shut up!!! Seriously!!! This country is really worried and your moronic tweets are not working. You were elected. Either find the ability to work with others to handle this or step aside for those who will.

The United States is threatened by a pandemic that grows worse by the day, and our leader is acting like a 5-year-old.
