With pressure mounting and his poll numbers sinking in reaction to the spread of coronavirus across the United States, President Donald Trump resorted to an old tactic: He decided to blame his predecessor, Barack Obama.
On Twitter, Trump accused the Obama administration of mishandling their response to the H1N1 swine flu epidemic in 2009 and suggested the former president had made changes in the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) that were making the current battle against coronavirus more challenging. However, he failed to provide any proof of his assertion:
For decades the @CDCgov looked at, and studied, its testing system, but did nothing about it. It would always be inadequate and slow for a large scale pandemic, but a pandemic would never happen, they hoped. President Obama made changes that only complicated things further…..

…. Their response to H1N1 Swine Flu was a full scale disaster, with thousands dying, and nothing meaningful done to fix the testing problem, until now. The changes have been made and testing will soon happen on a very large scale basis. All Red Tape has been cut, ready to go!

That didn’t sit well with others on social media, and they let Trump have it for his postings and reminded him where the blame really lies. Take a look:
Whenever Trump is in deep trouble of his own doing, he always deflects and blames other people who have nothing to do with it. Like Hillary’s emails. Like Obama. A true leader accepts responsibility and then does everything to make things right for the American people.

You fired the pandemic response team at the National Security Council less than two years ago. You didn’t even bother to replace them; you just eliminated the positions.
YESTERDAY, your administration was still justifying cuts to the CDC.

Who disbanded the team directly responsible for global health security and potential pandemics in 2018?
Not President @BarackObama

Even FOX News is admitting you are doing a shitty, awful job managing this crisis, and is aghast at your government’s lack of preparedness.

CDC website says that the first case of swine flu in the U.S. was detected on April 15, 2009. The Obama administration declared a Public Health Emergency on April 26, 2009. You’re a public health emergency, you syphilitic sock monkey. You’re also impeached and demented. Resign

All that remains now is for Trump to blame Hillary Clinton or Robert Mueller for coronavirus.
