President Donald Trump said Thursday morning on Twitter that he cannot understand why some states are requesting such large shipments of medical equipment and supplies and also suggested that the motive might be an attempt to play “politics” as thousands of American lay near death in hospitals across the country.
Under fire for failing to provide basic personal protective equipment such as gowns, masks, and gloves to doctors and nurses caring for those suffering from coronavirus, the president posted this on his Twitter feed:
Massive amounts of medical supplies, even hospitals and medical centers, are being delivered directly to states and hospitals by the Federal Government. Some have insatiable appetites & are never satisfied (politics?). Remember, we are a backup for them. The complainers should…
