The White House finally released results of President Donald Trump’s annual physical on Wednesday, and it didn’t take long for the details of that examination to set off endless laughter and mocking on social media.
CNN reports that the president’s doctor, Dr. Sean Conley, says Trump is in excellent health and has only gained one pound since his 2019 physical:
“President Donald Trump weighs 244 pounds, stands 6 feet 3 inches, has a blood pressure of 121/79 mmHG and a resting heart rate 63 beats per minute, the White House said on Wednesday in a summary of his annual physical.
“The results came after Trump revealed he’d taken a round of a controversial drug to prevent coronavirus and questions about the circumstances of his physical exam last year.”
244 pounds? What sort of scale was Trump weighed on? A quick look at the man makes clear that he’s probably pushing 300 pounds, and that’s on a good day.
Twitter jumped on the news and heaped scorn on both Trump and his so-called doctor:
His doctor just said Trump is 6’3″ and 244. Photos of him next to others suggest he’s a bit less than 6′ 2″. Politico found his driver’s license, which says 6’2″. Apparently he gets angry when people say he’s 6’2″, but fact is, Trump is 6’2″. And the fattest President since Taft.
