President Donald Trump threw a temper tantrum after his former White House chief of staff John Kelly called him out for lying about firing former Secretary of Defense James Mattis, but accidentally revealed his incompetency.

Trump lashed out at Mattis earlier on Thursday for criticizing his demand for military force to put down protests across the country. He insisted that he fired Mattis, but Kelly fact-checked him.

“The president did not fire him. He did not ask for his resignation,” Kelly said in a statement. “The president has clearly forgotten how it actually happened or is confused. The president tweeted a very positive tweet about Jim until he started to see on Fox News their interpretation of his letter. Then he got nasty. Jim Mattis is a honorable man.”

Trump then took to Twitter again to rage at Kelly.

Trump just admitted that his own chief of staff is not part of his inner circle in the White House. That’s just stunning to hear.

But Trump was not done.

If Trump only hires “the best people,” why did he hire “no good” James Mattis to be Secretary of Defense?

Those are a pair of concerning admissions on Trump’s part, proving without a doubt that he is unfit for the office he currently holds.
