Former Vice President Joe Biden took a shot at President Donald Trump over the weekend for hiding in the White House bunker.

Trump hid like a coward in the underground bunker after protesters surrounded the White House to call for an end to racial injustice and police brutality in the wake of George Floyd’s murder by Minneapolis cops.

Derision and mockery have followed Trump ever since.

And Biden only piled on by reportedly pointing out that he and former President Barack Obama never went to the underground hiding place and that Obama would have never agreed to go there in the first place because an America in chaos needs a president at the helm.

“You know, Barack and I never went down to the bunker,” Biden said They tell me it had cobwebs from lack of use during our 8 years. Never actually seen the bunker. I called up Barack, he said he’s never seen it either.”

“We never had cause to use the bunker,” Biden continued. “We were never that scared. Barack always told me that if there was an emergency and it was time to go to the bunker, that he would send only me, as VP, in case anything went wrong. He, as president, would remain with the people of this nation during any troubling times. He would never have abandoned them.”

This is a story Biden should tell repeatedly on the campaign trail. It perfectly contrasts the differences between Trump and Obama. While Trump hid in a bunker, Obama never had to use it, nor did he want to use it. In fact, Obama didn’t even use it after a man fired bullets into the Roosevelt balcony of the White House back in 2011.

We can restore this kind of president to the White House in November by voting for Biden.
