President Donald Trump has repeatedly attacked Antifa in an effort to scapegoat anti-fascists as the alleged perpetrators of riots and violence at mass protests against police brutality and racial injustice. Now his campaign is using a Nazi symbol in a call for them to be declared a terrorist organization.
There is no evidence that anti-fascists are the source of riots and violence at the protests, but there is plenty of evidence that Trump’s own racist white supremacist and neo-Nazi supporters are to blame.
Despite that, Trump has made anti-fascists his target of choice in an effort to demonize them. Of course, anti-fascists are anti-Nazi. They fought against the Nazis during World War II and died across Europe to prevent the spread of fascism. So, when Trump demonizes anti-fascists, he is demonizing millions of American soldiers who fought fascists.
But Trump’s campaign doubled down on this scapegoating with a particularly evil twist in a Facebook post that has since been removed.
After referring to Antifa as a “mob” that is “destroying” the nation, Team Trump called for labeling anti-fascists as a “terrorist organization.” And they included an upside-down red triangle in the post.
? Confirmed: Team Trump on Facebook posted for Trump supporters to stand against Antifa – and added a giant upside down red triangle. Just google that “upside down red triangle” and see what comes up first. pic.twitter.com/wAJLwcUMFd

A quick search on Google reveals that the upside-down red triangle was used by Nazis to identify anti-fascists and socialists similar to how the Nazis used the star of David to identify Jews. These symbols were sown onto concentration camp clothing, which you can see in the image below.
Trump and his campaign are literally channeling the Nazis to attack anti-fascists, and that should tell you all you need to know to determine who the real enemy of America is.
