President Donald Trump is outright pretending that every other country except the United States is suffering horribly because of the coronavirus. The reality, however, is quite the opposite.

After two relatively quiet days on Twitter, Trump threw a tirade on Tuesday morning that included a rant about the pandemic.

Trump insisted that the United States is handling the virus well while most other nations are “suffering greatly.”

Yeah, that’s a complete lie. The United States has the highest coronavirus death toll in the world and we set daily records for new cases. There is simply no way that other nations are worse off than us, especially since most other nations have flattened the curve by social distancing, wearing masks, and shutting down non-essential businesses. Trump forced our country to reopen early, and that why the virus is now raging in several states, particularly red states like Florida and Texas.

Twitter users brutally fact-checked Trump’s lies.

Trump clearly wants Americans to believe that he’s a hero in all this and that he somehow got our nation past the pandemic. Nothing could be further from the truth. More than 140,000 Americans are dead because of his recklessness and incompetence in handling coronavirus, and more will die if he forces schools to reopen. Most nations have dropped their new case numbers to the low hundreds. Ours is in the tens of thousands. There is simply no comparison. Our nation is the one suffering greatly, and Trump is the reason why.
