President Donald Trump’s disparaging remarks about fallen soldiers has drawn the ire of a 98-year-old World War II veteran who was captured and held as a POW by the Japanese.

Trump opted to skip a ceremony honoring 1,800 American troops buried at the Aisne-Marne World War I cemetery in France because he thinks they are “losers” and “suckers,” and also believes former prisoners of war are not war heroes.

Well, Dan Crowley served as a private in the U.S. Army Air Corps and fought against Japanese forces during the Battle of Bataan. He and tens of thousands of other Americans were captured and suffered through a death march, being forced to mine copper for the enemy under harsh and inhumane conditions with the threat of being killed hanging over them every day until the end of the war.

Crowley is a hero, but Trump thinks he’s not even though Trump himself has never fought in a war for this country, but rather dodged the draft five times to avoid doing so.

In a devastating new ad released by Vote Vets, Crowley ripped Trump a new one.

“I was a prisoner of war slave laborer for 42 months,” Crowley said. “We were forced to perform unbelievably brutal manual labor. That was probably one of the worst conditions a human being can be put in. None of the fellas who I served with who are no longer with us are suckers. They are not losers. Donald Trump disrespects everyone who served in the military. What’s worse — he lies about it. We need to vote Donald Trump out of office, and we need to vote out any politicians if they continue to support Donald Trump.”

Here’s the video via Twitter:

Trump and his supporters should be ashamed of themselves. They cannot honestly claim to love and support the troops if they are willing to give Trump a pass for saying these horrible things about men and women who have sacrificed so much for our nation. Trump hasn’t sacrificed anything and doesn’t know the meaning of the word.
