Supporters of President Donald Trump used the 19th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks to once again bring up the Benghazi attack that left four Americans dead back in 2012, all as they ignore the nearly 200,000 Americans who have died from coronavirus under Trump’s watch.
Before we dig into this, let’s first point out that Republicans had cut security funding for American embassies on several occasions prior to the attack in Libya. A subsequent investigation by Republicans in Congress that took even longer than the 9/11 probe cleared former President Barack Obama and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton of any wrongdoing.
Yet, Republicans are still obsessed with Benghazi eight years later.
Never forget that Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and Joe Biden left 4 Americans to die in Benghazi 8 years ago today.

Today, we remember the thousands of Americans who lost their lives on 9/11/2001.
We also remember the four American heroes, Sean Smith, Ty Woods, Glen Doherty, and Ambassador Stevens, who lost their lives in Benghazi on 9/11/2012.
God bless our great country.#NeverForget

Never forget that today is also the day four Americans were killed during the 2012 attack on our diplomatic compound and CIA annex in Benghazi.

As our late friend and patriot @CharlieDaniels would famously say, “Benghazi ain’t going away.”

Their accusations are not only false, but Benghazi also pales in comparison to the nearly 200,000 Americans who have died because of Trump’s incompetent and reckless response to the pandemic. Trump also flat out lied to the American people because he admitted on tape back in February that he knew all along that COVID-19 is deadlier than the flu and that he downplayed it on purpose.
So, while Republicans are busy falsely claiming that “Hillary lied and people died,” Trump really did lie and hundreds of thousands of Americans have died. But Republicans refuse to condemn Trump or abandon him.
Americans leveled conservatives on Twitter for continuing to scream about Benghazi.
Covid under Trump is 50 9/11’s, 11,000 Benghazi’s

Benghazi. Four died. Republicans lost their fucking minds.
Coronavirus. 191,000 dead and counting. Republicans defending the lunatic that allowed it to happen.
What a stark fucking contrast, right?!

“Benghazi was Obama’s fault because 4 people died on his watch but 9/11 wasn’t Bush’s fault even though 3,000 people died on his watch and covid isn’t Trump’s fault even though 200,000 people died on his watch.”

The Benghazi embassy was NOT abandoned. It was suddenly attacked & Marine guards fought valiantly. All surviving US personnel were evacuated from the building less than 2 hours after the initial assault. Christopher Stevens and Sean Smith were killed in the initial assault#liar

Republicans, as usual, are hypocrites. and they should be held legally responsible for the deaths of the hundreds of thousands who have died. Like Trump, they are complicit.
