President Donald Trump tried to blame Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden for the lack of a national mask mandate and wound up getting hilariously trolled on social media by the former vice president.
HuffPost notes that during an ABC town hall with Trump on Tuesday evening, a voter raised the issue of a mask mandate:
“Julie Bart asked the president why he hadn’t instituted a national mask mandate during the height of the pandemic and why he had largely refused to wear facial coverings even as the nation’s top medical officials urged the public to do so.”
“Well, I do wear them when I have to and when I’m in hospitals and other locations. But I will say this. They said at the Democrat convention they’re going to do a national mandate. They never did it, because they’ve checked out and they didn’t do it. And a good question is, you ask why Joe Biden ― they said we’re going to do a national mandate on masks.”
After Pres. Trump claims “a lot of people think the masks are not good,” @GStephanopoulos asks: “Who are those people?”
“Waiters,” Trump responds, saying he’s seen servers constantly touching their face masks.

A few minutes later, Biden responded to Trump’s absurd claim:

Ouch! That burn is going to leave a mark.
Recently, the GOP has been trying to blame Trump’s feckless response to coronavirus on anyone but their orange savior, but polls show voters aren’t buying the BS and see Trump as being the one who is responsible for 200,000 deaths in this country from COVID-19.
In the meantime, Biden and the Democrats are using facts to refute Trump’s lies while also using humor to zing the president.
