The first highly anticipated debate between President Donald Trump and former Vice-President Joe Biden did not go down well for Trump as he continued to spew lies and spent much of the debate attacking Biden’s family and trying to bully. Biden, meanwhile, took the fight to Trump.

Trump chose to wing his way through the debate and it showed. His attempts to bully and goad Biden failed and he looked like a fool as Biden proved himself to be the more presidential of the two.

Biden repeatedly hammered Trump, including by calling out his subservience to Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.

“With regard to being weaker, the fact is I have gone head to head with Putin and made it clear to him we’re not going to take any of his stuff,” Biden said. “He’s Putin’s puppy! He refuses to say anything to Putin about the bounty on the heads of American soldiers.”

Indeed, Biden is right. But rather than address what Biden said, Trump attacked Biden’s son Hunter and repeatedly interrupted him in direct violation of the rules both campaigns agreed to prior to the start, thus giving Biden the opportunity to point out that Trump can’t be trusted.

“He never keeps his word,” Biden said.

Biden also took Trump to task for being a tax cheat.

“He says he’s smart because he can take advantage of the tax code,” said Biden. “That’s why I’m going to eliminate the Trump tax cuts. And make sure we’re going to invest in the people who in fact need the help… You’re the worst president America has ever had.”

Throughout the debate, Trump frequently interrupted Biden, who gave the world two wonderful moments by telling Trump what we’ve all been yearning to tell him to his face for years now.

At one point, Biden quipped that Trump is a “clown” for talking so much.

And then when Trump tried to interrogate Biden as he spoke, Biden outright told Trump to “shut up.”

“The issue is the American people should speak,” Biden said after being asked about the recent Supreme Court vacancy left by the death of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. “You should go out and vote. Vote and let your senators know how strongly you feel.”

Trump interrupted, as usual, to demand if Biden supports packing the court, which Biden did not tolerate.

“Will you shut up, man?” Biden said. “This is so unpresidential.”

Biden beat Trump in this debate, and the polls reflect that.

That’s another poll that shows Trump is a loser. Now it all just needs to translate into an election victory as far as Team Biden is concerned.
