Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey (R) spoke at a campaign rally for President Donald Trump on Monday, and during his remarks he clearly mocked Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden, who suffers from a stutter that he has worked his entire life to overcome.
In the video below, Ducey can clearly be heard telling the crowd:
“J-J-Joe Biden is wrong for America!”
Ducey later tried to suggest he hadn’t been making fun of Biden:
This is false. I did not mock Joe Biden’s stutter, nor would I ever. https://t.co/ooScVUlNhP

But social media wasn’t buying what Ducey was selling, and people immediately began shaming him for what he’d done:
Everyone can hear what you did. You mocked a man who stutters while standing next to a man who routinely mocks people’s challenges and disabilities, in front of a crowd that routinely cheers mocking.

So you’ve had a stutter all these years that we never knew about and it suddenly appeared today when speaking the words J-J-Joe Biden? Prove it and I’ll apologize.

The only thing false is this tweet. There’s video, don’t make it worse by implying that everyone’s eyes and ears have it wrong. It’s clear as day that you are MOCKING him. I know AZ voted for you but we aren’t all idiots. If you dish it out, you really need to be able to own it.

You’re lying. I heard it, and it was utterly vile.
You owe the people of Arizona an apology.

Wow, I just seen the video and you clearly did. Looks like hanging around Trump, you haved picked up some bad traits.

Please call today and express your concern that @dougducey made fun of Joe Biden’s stuttering today to impress Trump! Let’s remember him! For now let’s send a clear message that this is unacceptable. Blow up his phone and Twitter 602-542-4331 or 520-628-6580. Call today all day!

I mean, I saw the video and you most certainly DID. As the parent of a special needs child here in Arizona, I will not forget that you did. Instead of doubling down, be a pioneer in your party and apologize instead. It does go a long way.
