President Donald Trump’s youngest and oft-forgotten daughter, Tiffany, was one of the speakers at an LGBTQ Pride event held Monday at the Westshore Grand Hotel in Tampa, Florida, and according to reports of her remarks, it’s clear why the Trump campaign almost never lets Tiffany speak in public.

According to Newsweek, Tiffany began by suggesting that before he decided to become a Republican and run for the White House, her father had been a proponent of LGBTQ equality:

“I know what my father believes in. Prior to politics, he [Trump] supported gays, lesbians, the LGBQIIA+ community.”

Like every member of the Trump family, Tiffany then began whining about “fabricated lies” on social media regarding her father’s stance on gay rights:

“It saddens me. I have friends of mine who reach out and they say how could you support your father, we know your best friends are gay.”

Tiffany also had this to say about AIDS:

“Unfortunately, one of her best friends passed away from AIDS and what I think is so powerful when my father says there will be a cure for AIDS within the next 10 years, there will be and God bless.”

After viewing Tiffany’s bizarre performance at the Florida event, many people were quick to remind her and everyone else that the Trump administration has consistently rolled back protections for LGBTQ Americans:
