As President Donald Trump continues to claim that former Vice President Joe Biden has connections to China, Trump’s own tax and business records show that he’s the one with the connections.

We all know that Trump has repeatedly demonized China over the last four years, even going so far as to start a disastrous trade war that wiped out farmers across the country. Trump has also accused Biden and his son Hunter of having inappropriate dealings with China that somehow prove Biden would be a Chinese “puppet,” which is ironic considering Trump is Russia’s puppet.

The problem is that while Biden’s tax records show no such connections to China that makes him vulnerable, Trump has many as the New York Times demonstrated in yet another deep dive into the Trump tax and business records they have previously obtained.

According to the NYT:

Mr. Trump’s own business history is filled with overseas financial deals, and some have involved the Chinese state. He spent a decade unsuccessfully pursuing projects in China, operating an office there during his first run for president and forging a partnership with a major government-controlled company.

And it turns out that China is one of only three foreign nations — the others are Britain and Ireland — where Mr. Trump maintains a bank account.

So, perhaps Trump’s trade war with China is not so much about America as it is about him getting revenge because he couldn’t establish a business there. Of course, Trump and his family have been successful at securing such business ties since he took office as the Chinese government began approving projects and handed Ivanka Trump several trademark approvals after she became a White House staffer.

And if all of that is not enough to piss you off, it turns out that Trump has a secret bank account that he failed to mention in his public financial disclosure forms. Oh, and he has paid far more in taxes to the Chinese government than he has in the United States.

“The Chinese account is controlled by Trump International Hotels Management L.L.C., which the tax records show paid $188,561 in taxes in China while pursuing licensing deals there from 2013 to 2015,” the Times reports.

As you will recall, Trump’s tax records show that he only paid around $750 in taxes in this country at the most in a year while paying zero most years.

In addition, Trump has many connections to Chinese businessmen who have helped keep him afloat financially for years, and has many of his products manufactured in China, including his red hats. In short, he’s the one who is vulnerable to being a puppet and has all sorts of shady business dealings in China. And who knows how deep those connections run since Trump has refused to release his taxes. What the NYT published is only based on the few years of returns they have been able to obtain from other sources.

Trump can try tying Biden to China all he wants, it’s nothing but mere projection and hypocrisy that draws attention to his own very real China ties.
