According to Jared Kushner, who serves as a senior adviser to President Donald Trump, black Americans are struggling because they don’t really “want to be successful.”

Appearing on “Fox & Friends” Monday morning, Kushner was asked about a meeting he recently had with rapper Ice Cube, who is working with the Trump campaign on what’s being called “The Platinum Plan.” which would reportedly $500 million into black communities across the country:

“There’s been a lot of discussion about the issues that were needed in the black community for the last years, particularly it intensified after the George Floyd situation. You saw a lot of people who were just virtue signaling, they’d go on Instagram and cry or they would put a slogan on their jersey or write something on a basketball court. And quite frankly, that was doing more to polarize the country than it was to bring people forward.”

Ah, yes. How dare those black people protest the killing of a black man by cop who asphyxiated him by putting his knee on his throat for nearly eight minutes while the man repeatedly complained that he couldn’t breathe.

Kushner continued his inane commentary:

“And again, one thing we’ve seen in a lot of the black community, which is mostly Democrat, is that President Trump’s policies are the policies that can help people break out the problems that they’re complaining about.

“But he can’t want them to be successful more than they want to be successful.”

Interesting. So Donald Trump is suddenly a champion of African-Americans after decades of discriminating against them and mocking them behind their backs? When did this great racial awakening happen for the president? When he noticed his reelection effort was tanking?

Later in the interview, Jared even claimed that his father-in-law has a “groundswell of support in the Black community because they’re realizing that all the different bad things the media and the Democrats have said about President Trump are not true.”

The bad things? You mean like how Donald Trump refused to rent to blacks and was sued by the U.S. government for his racist rental policies? Or would the groundswell be due to the fact that he called for innocent black men to be executed for a 1989 rape that took place in Central Park?

Black Americans do not support Donald Trump. Why should they? He’s proven time and time again that he has nothing but disdain for them.
