Early Tuesday morning, Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden attended morning mass and then visited the grave of his late son, Beau, and yet the Trump campaign thought this was somehow funny and decided they’d mock Biden for his actions.
Trump campaign spokesman Hogan Gidley tweeted out this hateful message around the same time Biden was at church:
Hey, anyone know if Joe Biden has called a “lid” yet?

A “lid” is when a candidate doesn’t plan any other public events or appearances for the day. And Biden, it should be noted, will be campaigning in Pennsylvania today, making Gidley’s comment cruel and not the least bit factual.
Of course, such disgusting behavior is par for the course when it comes to Trump and his surrogates. The current president has mocked the disabled, attacked women, and suggested that Hispanic immigrants are only interested in raping women once they arrive in the United States.
It didn’t take long for internet karma to catch up with Gidley and the Trump team:
