In front of a field of cars in what has become a signature drive-in rally, President-Elect Joseph R. Biden Jr. delivered a victory speech to a relieved and joyous nation as President Donald Trump pouted inside the White House in defeat.

Upon the 2020 Election being officially called and Biden declared the winner, Americans celebrated across the country, dinging Trump’s ego as he faced the enthused crowds in Washington DC. He was pictured sulking as he walked back into the White House after a day of golfing on the taxpayer dime.

Biden, of course, was too busy to play games because he was preparing remarks and getting ready to show Trump what presidential behavior looks like.

Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris kicked off the festivities by honoring the late-Rep. John Lewis (D-Ga.) and his fight for democracy and justice before shouting out women across the nation and all the women who came before her to pave the way for her moment.

Introduced by Harris, who made history by becoming the first woman and first woman of color to hold the nation’s second most powerful office, Biden jogged out to the podium as if to once again demonstrate his physical superiority to Trump, and then he spoke with conviction to a country in desperate need of real leadership.

“I pledge to be a president who seeks not to divide, but unify, who doesn’t see red states and blue states, but only sees the United States,” Biden declared. “I sought this office to rebuild the soul of America, to rebuild the backbone of this nation, the middle class and to make America respected around the world again.”

Biden pledged to listen to scientists and vowed to deal with climate change, protect American’s healthcare, “root out” systemic racism, rebuild the economy, and beat the coronavirus pandemic, which he explained would have to come first if we truly want our lives to get back to normal.

It seemed as if every word was a shot at Trump without Biden ever uttering his name, but that’s only because Trump has been so destructive, poisonous, and anti-American over the last four years.

It was a speech that Trump could never have delivered, and it was a speech that Americans have been desperate to hear. This is what a real president looks and sounds like.
