Now that he’s been handed a “Get Out of Jail Free” card from President Donald Trump in the form of a presidential pardon, former national security adviser Michael Flynn is calling for Trump to impose martial law and hold a new election that would be supervised by the U.S. military.
In other words, Flynn has now gone full fascist.
Flynn took his lead from Tom Zawistowski, who serves as the so-called “leader” of the Portage County, Ohio, Tea Party, who took out a full-page in the right-wing Washington Times urging Trump to “suspend the Constitution” to protect the election and American democracy.
Zawistowski defended his incendiary language in the ad by saying:
“It is our exclusive right to elect our president and that sacred right has been infringed by the massive, planned, illegal election fraud conducted by corrupt Democrat/Socialist Party operatives across our nation to steal our vote.”
That led Flynn to tweet out a link to the “We the People Convention”:

That was all it took for Twitter users to warn Flynn that it sounded like he was supporting treason:

Sedition is a serious felony punishable by fines & up to 20 yrs in prison and it refers to the act of inciting revolt or violence against a lawful authority with the goal of destroying or overthrowing it.
