Outgoing President Donald Trump praised 17 red states for joining Texas’ Supreme Court lawsuit against Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Georgia even though the lawsuit itself admits there is no evidence of election fraud.
Texas filed the frivolous lawsuit this week begging the high court to overturn the election results in all four of those states and declare Trump the winner over President-Elect Joe Biden, who won the race with 306 electoral votes to Trump’s 232 and the popular vote by more than 7 million votes.
It’s unlikely to succeed, of course, especially in light of the Supreme Court dismissing a similar lawsuit brought in Pennsylvania.
But now 17 other red states are joining Texas in asking the Supreme Court to invalidate millions of votes across four states. And Trump crowed about it on Twitter.
Wow! At least 17 States have joined Texas in the extraordinary case against the greatest Election Fraud in the history of the United States. Thank you!

Again, this lawsuit is not going to work. All 50 states have certified the results and Biden is the clear winner. And 18 states is not even half of the states in this country. It’s beyond laughable that these red states think they can disenfranchise states just because their candidate of choice lost in them.
What’s even more pathetic is that the lawsuit itself concedes that there’s no evidence of election fraud, but claims that there must be fraud precisely because there’s no evidence of it. Seriously.
“Despite the chaos of election night and the days which followed, the media has consistently proclaimed that no widespread voter fraud has been proven,” the filing says. “But this observation misses the point. The constitutional issue is not whether voters committed fraud but whether state officials violated the law by systematically loosening the measures for ballot integrity so that fraud becomes undetectable.”

These states are wasting taxpayer dollars on a lawsuit that will fail and are abusing the legal system. Frankly, there must be consequences for every state Attorney General who signed onto this ridiculous scheme.
