President Donald Trump angrily lashed out and Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) shortly after Cotton announced that he would not take part in an effort being supported by some Republicans in Congress who have said they will attempt to block the certification of President-elect Joe Biden’s victory in the 2020 presidential election.
According to Newsweek:
“Cotton said Congress upending the result would exceed its power and ‘establish unwise precedents,’ while Graham said the effort has ‘zero chance of becoming reality,’ marking a clear split within the Trump-friendly wing of the Senate GOP.”
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) said over the weekend he also would not take part in the symbolic protest of his GOP Senate colleagues which has no chance of changing the outcome of the election, but Trump hasn’t yet attacked him.
Taking to Twitter Monday morning, the president posted this:
How can you certify an election when the numbers being certified are verifiably WRONG. You will see the real numbers tonight during my speech, but especially on JANUARY 6th. @SenTomCotton Republicans have pluses & minuses, but one thing is sure, THEY NEVER FORGET!

Within minutes, others on social media gave Trump a taste of his own medicine as they mocked his online conniption fit:

How can you claim anything is verifiable if you cannot produce evidence other than the ramblings of your lawyers and his “credible“ witness?
