According to the hosts of the Fox News morning show, “Fox & Friends,” the only reason President Donald Trump is being impeached for an unprecedented second time has nothing to do with him inciting an insurrection which led to the storming of the U.S. Capitol and the deaths of five Americans. Instead, they insisted on Thursday morning, it’s all because Trump is hated by liberals who will do anything to destroy him.

A clearly embittered Ainsley Earhardt weighed in first, remarking:

“They’ve hated this president since Day 1. They’ve been talking about it the entire time, and they got their wish. Twice! He’s impeached! They won. Seven days until he’s out. Even if you don’t like him, he lost the election. He’s out. Isn’t that enough?”

Of course, Earhardt conveniently neglected to mention that Trump had engaged in sedition, lied to his followers that the 2020 election had been “stolen,” and posted all sorts of inflammatory hatred on his social media accounts, which led to Twitter suspending his account permanently.

Co-host Brian Kilmeade then whined specifically about Twitter’s ban of Trump from their platform:

“They’ve lost billions of dollars since decided to ban the president, their Number 1 customer, who’s done more for their company, even though they don’t like him, than possibly anybody else.”

Earhardt concurred with Kilmeade:

“What a business model. My Number 1 customer — you’re out!”

It should be noted that there is no proof whatsoever that Twitter has lost “billions of dollars” since they banned the president a week ago. Their business model, meanwhile, appears to be quite successful, as the company’s most recent earnings report showed, with MarketBeat reporting that as of October 20, 2020:

“The social networking company reported $0.19 EPS for the quarter, beating analysts’ consensus estimates of ($0.07) by $0.26. The company had revenue of $936.23 million for the quarter, compared to analyst estimates of $773.16 million. Its revenue was up 13.7% compared to the same quarter last year. Twitter has generated $1.99 earnings per share over the last year.”

Memo to the gang at “Fox & Friends”: The American people overwhelmingly rejected Donald Trump at the ballot box in November, and we have a new president on January 20. If Trump didn’t want to be impeached a second time, he should have accepted the election results and behaved like a statesman instead of a spoiled child.
