Even though President Joe Biden has only been in office for three days, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) thought it would be a good idea to accuse the president of failing to “unify” the country and proposing a “radical leftist agenda.”
Bright and early on Friday morning, Rubio tweeted out:
A radical leftist agenda in a divided country will not help unify our country, it will only confirm 75 million Americans biggest fears about the new administration
— Marco Rubio (@marcorubio) January 22, 2021
Rubio conveniently neglected to mention that he eagerly supported Donald Trump’s extreme right-wing agenda which resulted in a rise in hate crimes, 410,000 deaths from COVID-19, an economic recession, and the loss of the Senate by the GOP in the 2020 election.
Reactions to Rubio’s tone-deaf, fact-free tweet were immediate and harsh:
Do biggest fears include Feces on the halls of the Capitol building, a laptop belonging to the US Speaker of the House being stolen and sold to the Russians, and Police Officers beaten and killed? Those kinds of fears?

And why do your voters fear the left? You told them too. You lied to them endlessly. You said we were the enemy. You want unity? Knock it off.

Your party stormed the capitol, shit on the floors and a best s cop to death with a fire extinguisher because your leaders lied to them about the results of the national election. You were the most radical far right party in power in any democracy in the world.

Did *this* help unify our country? pic.twitter.com/IqQbYTDKBx

I’m here to call you on your BS, Marco.
In 2016, you said:“Leadership is not inciting people to get angrier. That’s not leadership. You know what it is? That’s called demagoguery.”
“Radical left agenda”.
That’s you, inciting people to get angrier.
Isn’t that so, you hypocrite?— Jo (@JoJoFromJerz) January 22, 2021
This “radical leftist” agenda is actually what most Americans want. It’s just that the GOP has veered so far to the right that it can’t even see the middle of the road anymore.

81 million is greater than 74 million. Thank you for coming to my math lecture.

Amazing that healthcare, pandemic response, and financial stability are considered radical.
