A self-identified Republican caller from Delaware phoned in to C-SPAN on Thursday morning and began spouting bizarre conspiracy theories about Democrats that are most often associated with the QAnon movement which asserts that Democrats and political progressives are Satanic cannibals who eat babies as part of a secret ritual.

The man, who said his name was John, called in during a discussion of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and told host John McArdle:

“I support President Trump. I think he’s got to get back in there in that White House and he can’t get people like Marjorie Taylor Greene out of office.

“We need women like her in there otherwise these Democrats are going to keep eating the babies and cutting faces off of them. We need President Trump, we elected him and it’s time he get back in there and do his job.”

Keeping his cool, McArdle asked the man about Republicans such as Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY), who has harshly criticized Greene and also voted to impeach Trump for inciting an insurrection at the U.S. Capitol on January 6. To that, John replied:

“I don’t know much about her. I think her father was a little bit better than her in there. I think maybe she should be expelled.”

Rep. Greene has used similar language NPR notes:

“Q is a patriot, we know that for sure,” Greene said in a video from 2017, in which she recapped some of Q’s predictions and why she supports them.

“There’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take this global cabal of Satan-worshiping pedophiles out, and I think we have the president to do it,” she said, referring to Trump.

The GOP has become the party of crazy. They may like to tell voters that they stand for lower taxes and “liberty,” but their real agenda is fear, lies, and hatred.
