The Republican Party sent out a tweet calling for all U.S. schools to be reopened immediately, but a blatant typo in the posting wound up getting them mocked mercilessly on social media.
The tweet, which was later deleted, claimed that keeping schools closed was “DEVESTATING.”
Are we sure that the person who wrote that tweet ever attended school? If so, did they skip the class where spelling was taught?
HuffPost notes that schools will indeed be reopened under a plan announced by the CDC:
“The CDC last week released new guidelines that should make it easier for schools to reopen, including advice that students can now sit 3 feet apart in classrooms.”
Hopefully, the young students who will soon be back in class will have better spelling skills than the GOP, which was subjected to hilarious online chiding:
