Even though he’s no longer president and is only marginally relevant, Donald Trump decided it was time for him to create and unleash on the world an “official website.”
But a closer look at the former president’s latest internet offering makes it clear he only has one goal in mind: Trying to make a buck, perhaps so he can pay his legal bills as prosecutors in multiple jurisdictions continue to investigate him.
The Daily Mail reports that one of the main features of www.45office.com is the ability to book Donald and Melania for personal appearances:
“The former president and his wife can also be booked to make an appearance at events, according to the website.
“When applying to book Donald and Melania, you are invited to fill out a number of boxes, including whether or not press will be present and how many guests will be attending the function.
“Six weeks notice is needed to allow time for the request to be processed and status updates will not be provided, the website says.”
Granted, former presidents often make public appearances after leaving office, but they don’t normally start a website so that any Tom, Dick, or Harry can book them for whatever ridiculous reason they deem worthy of dropping several thousand bucks on.
Www.45office.com also features lots of breathless bragging about what a great job Trump allegedly did while serving as president and his supposed plans now that he’s in the history books as a failed, one-term loser:
“Through civic engagement and public activism, the Office of Donald J. Trump will strive to inform, educate, and inspire Americans from all walks of life as we seek to build a truly great American Future.
“Through this office, President Trump will remain a tireless champion for the hardworking men and women of our great country – and for their right to live in safety, dignity, prosperity, and peace.”
So if you’ve got several thousand dollars laying around, be sure and give Donald and Melania a shout. They’re desperate for cash.
