Disgraced former President Donald Trump inflamed tensions on a daily basis and incited an insurrection, yet his former press secretary Kayleigh McEnany thinks she’s qualified to lecture President Joe Biden on holding one’s tongue.

As the jury deliberates an impending verdict in the Derek Chauvin trial, Biden called George Floyd’s family to offer support and empathize with them on loss. The video evidence alone should put Chauvin in prison, and an acquittal would turn protests against police brutality and racial injustice into a powder keg primed to explode.

During an appearance on Fox News, her new employer, McEnany warned Biden against speaking out.

“I’m glad that he at least waited until the jury was sequestered,” McEnany said. “But I think that the country is such a tinderbox right now, especially Minneapolis. There’s so much hurt, so much pain. And I think it’s the role of the president of the United States to stay back, to not inflame the tensions. I think he should have just reserved comment and said he’s praying for the family as we all are.”

Here’s the video via YouTube:

McEnany is a known serial liar and hypocrite, so her rant is not surprising. Let’s not forget that she accompanied Trump to St. John’s Episcopal Church for a mere photo-op last summer after Trump ordered the street cleared of protesters, who were shot with rubber bullets and tear gas despite being peaceful.

Let’s also not forget that Trump opened his mouth to spew an opinion on anything and everything and sought to divide Americans by inflaming tensions every single chance he got, and was never once criticized by McEnany for it, including anti-Asian hate throughout the coronavirus pandemic that has triggered a wave of violence against the Asian-American community, and a big election lie that culminated in Trump inciting the insurrection at the Capitol in a scheme to stay in power.

If anybody is “inflaming tensions” it’s Republicans like McEnany and others who consistently excuse the killing of unarmed black men and women by white police officers. Biden knows the evidence against Chauvin is strong. He also knows that Chauvin kept his knee pressed against Floyd’s neck for over nine minutes as the man begged for his life because he could not breathe. Biden called Floyd’s family because he knows what it’s like to lose a family member and he has compassion, something Trump has never had.

And McEnany even admitted that Biden waited to speak until after the jury had been sequestered, which should have been the case from the start of the trial anyway because right-wingers have been opening their mouths about the case throughout with not a peep from McEnany about it. So her criticisms are moot, especially since Trump would not have waited to speak and he continues to inflame tensions now even though he is no longer president. Just like Trump, McEnany has zero credibility and both should be silent for eternity.
