According to “Fox & Friends” host Brian Kilmeade, anyone that ever protests police brutality or participates in a demonstration against the way police do their jobs should be banned from ever calling 911 to report an emergency.

Mediate reports that Kilmeade’s remarks came Thursday morning as the three co-hosts discussed recent police shootings and the trial of Derek Chauvin, who was found guilty on Tuesday of killing George Floyd last year in Minneapolis:

Kilmeade’s comments came as Fox & Friends spoke on Thursday about the fatal police shootings of Daunte Wright and Ma’Khia Bryant. As Kilmeade defended Officer Kim Potter, who shot fatally Wright, over her police record, Ainsley Earhardt listed off several recent instances of hostile anti-police protest.

“In Minnesota, protesters were yelling at police ‘get the blank out’ and in New York at that local restaurant, ‘we don’t want you here,’” Earhardt said.

Kilmeade responded:

“Good. Do you know what? You should be barred from — anyone who says that, you are no longer allowed to use 911. Let’s just hope, in your life, you never need a police officer.”

Fellow co-host Pete Hegseth interjected to say that he wonders if those who protest police misdeeds “maybe” want more crime.

Using the same standard the Fox gang suggests, let’s revisit a recent happening in Washington, D.C. when pro-Trump protesters rioted and stormed the Capitol, leading to a complete lockdown and resulting the in the deaths of five people, including a Capitol policeman.

Maybe we should ban all Republicans from serving in Congress or at least strip voting rights from them for several years as a punishment. Wouldn’t that be fair?

Or maybe we need to declare that anyone who took part in the January 6 protests will have their citizenship revoked and they’ll be deported to another continent. Would Brian Kilmeade be cool with that?

The right to protest is one of the most fundamental found in the Constitution. If we start punishing people for doing so, we might just as well tear up that document and watch as the country disintegrates.
