Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) dared call Democrats “the enemy within” in an incendiary Twitter post on Sunday, drawing condemnation from Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-Ariz.), a United States Marine who served in the Iraq War.

Greene’s treasonous mouth has already cost her her committee assignments and calls to expel her from Congress entirely have only grown.

She openly incited and supported the insurrection at the Capitol on January 6th and voted to overthrow democracy as right-wing extremists searched for lawmakers to assassinate, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) being a top target whom Greene has called to be executed.

Yet Greene had the gall to accuse Democrats of being the real “enemy.”

Again, Greene and most of her Republican colleagues supported the attempted coup to overthrow democracy so disgraced former President Donald Trump could stay in power. And she had no problem with insurrectionists murdering Democratic lawmakers so they could get their way.

That’s why Gallego put Greene in her place.

Gallego risked his life serving our nation. He’s a combat veteran who understands the price men and women in uniform have paid to keep our country free. His best friend paid that price. Greene has never served in the military.

Greene’s rhetoric is dangerous and only serves to incite future violence against Democrats and future coup attempts. She doesn’t love this country. She certainly does not respect the Constitution, nor the oath she took upon taking office. It’s Republicans like Greene who are the real enemy within as they have repeatedly demonstrated over the last four years.

Other Twitter users also slammed Greene.

Unlike Greene, Democrats are the only party offering legislation focused on improving the lives of Americans, including bills to rebuild our crumbling infrastructure and making childcare affordable and accessible. Republicans oppose these measures even though a majority of Americans support them. It’s pretty clear which party is the real enemy of the people.
