Unable to find an indoor venue for their latest “America First” rally, Reps. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) and Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) were relegated to a sidewalk outside the Riverside, California, City Hall on Saturday, and to say that turnout for the event was pathetic would be an enormous understatement.

The Daily Beast notes that Greene urged the few people who showed up to refuse COVID-19 vaccines and not wear masks:

“Don’t let them force your kids to wear masks at school. Don’t let your kids be forced to take a vaccine that’s not FDA approved.”

Gaetz repeated the “big lie” that Trump had won the 2020 election, even though he lost to President Joe Biden by more than 7 million votes:

“Donald Trump won the last election, and he’s gonna win the next one!

“They may try to cancel us online, they may try to pursue us in real life, they may shut down our venues, but we will take this fight to them in the courts, in the halls of Congress, and if necessary in the streets.”

However, Gaetz neglected to mention that he may well have cancelled himself by allegedly having sex with an underage girl and trafficking her across state lines. Federal investigators are currently building a case against Gaetz that could send him to prison for the rest of his life.

Gaetz and Greene got a thorough mocking on social media:
