Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) made it clear Tuesday that he’s worried about the sudden rise in COVID-19 cases among unvaccinated Americans, and he went on Twitter to urge those who haven’t yet been vaccinated to do so ASAP.

Just last week, Dr. Rochelle Walensky warned that COVID is quickly becoming a “pandemic of the unvaccinated.”

“There is a message that is crystal clear: this is becoming a pandemic of the unvaccinated. We are seeing outbreaks of cases in parts of the country that have low vaccination coverage because unvaccinated people are at risk.”

Despite the warnings, McConnell’s message was met with angry reaction on social media, where many conservatives said they would never agree to being vaccinated. Take a look:
