QAnon Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) threw a tantrum like a petulant child after the House voted to hold Steve Bannon in contempt for refusing to comply with a subpoena.

Republicans desperately tried to defend Bannon, who played a central role in the January 6th Capitol insurrection. Trump supporters literally stormed the building that day in an attempt to overthrow democracy. The House 1/6 Committee subpoenaed Bannon to provide records and testimony, which would apparently incriminate himself and Donald Trump. In the end, Bannon now faces charges and prosecution.

On her way out of the Capitol, Greene accused Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyoming) of being a “traitor” for holding Bannon accountable for his seditious actions.

“She’s a traitor,” Greene told CNN’s Jim Acosta before going on to rudely explain her vote against the measure.

“The rationale behind my vote is I’m not self-absorbed like the rest of these jerks here in Congress,” Greene said. “They’re all ignoring inflation, people can hardly buy food, gas has gone up… All they care about is Congress. They don’t care about the American people.”

Self-absorbed jerks? It’s like Greene is talking about herself. And she certainly doesn’t give a damn about the American people.

Reminded that Trump supporters tried to overthrow the Constitution, Greene again demonstrated her childish behavior.

“All you want to talk about is your Trump Derangement System, and all you want to talk about is January 6th where there’s a riot here,” she said. “What about all the people who are rotting in jail? Why don’t you worry about them?”

Here’s the video via YouTube:

The insurrectionists are “rotting in jail” because they committed violent acts against the United States. They sought to overturn a legitimate election by force and planned to murder lawmakers along the way. They are not worth worrying about. And they certainly are not being treated worse than other prisoners.

Frankly, Greene herself should join them in jail for inciting violence against House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) by calling for her to be assassinated. Because it turns out that Trump supporters were targeting Pelosi on January 6th.

Steve Bannon refused to comply with a congressional subpoena in violation of federal law. If a Democrat did that Republicans would be furious. In fact, Republicans have voted to hold Democrats in contempt for not complying with subpoenas. Republicans are not above the law no matter how much they think otherwise.
