Senator Rand Paul (R-Ky.) accused Democrats of “stealing” the 2020 election this week by convincing voters to vote for their candidates and providing legal ballots to every eligible voter. Seriously.
Despite countless claims by Donald Trump and the GOP, there is no evidence of fraud in the 2020 election unless you count the very real voter fraud committed by Republicans. But now that they have exhausted all of their lame fraud claims, Republicans like Paul are trying a new tactic. Now they are claiming that Democrats stole the election by campaigning successfully and providing Americans with access to the ballot. In other words, President Joe Biden won the election because American democracy worked the way it is supposed to work.
In a post on Twitter, Paul made the bizarre complaint while quoting a conservative publication.
How to steal an election: “Seeding an area heavy with potential Democratic votes with as many absentee ballots as possible, targeting and convincing potential voters to complete them in a legally valid way, and then harvesting and counting the results.”https://t.co/LwE3MdeWeG

Again, absentee ballots are not illegal. Neither is convincing voters to vote for your party and counting the votes. That’s precisely how elections in our country have been run for over 200 years.
Clearly, Republicans are so desperate to rig elections for themselves that they are now resorting to attacking the entire election process.
Americans schooled Paul in response.
So, giving people easy access to voting is now stealing? Sounds less corrupt than moving/closing polling stations.

In other words the GOP is so unpopular that if more eligible voters are able to vote the GOP can’t win.

Should we also discard the election results of down ballot Republican winners?

I am sorry that all these US citizens…checks notes…legally voted in a way you didn’t like

I guess you could reach out to voters and convince them that the GOP has better ideas but nah…

Getting ppl to vote is now considered election stealing

I believe that’s called voting, Senator.

We get it, you hate it when people vote because then Republicans will lose.

Why do Republicans hate democracy so much?
