Following up on censuring Reps. Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger while referring to the Capitol insurrection as “legitimate political discourse,” the Republican National Committee embarrassed itself again by posting an insulting President’s Day tweet that has drawn bipartisan backlash.

It was only earlier this month that the RNC issued that piece of anti-democracy propaganda in their continued support of Donald Trump and his lies about the 2020 Election and the violence committed in a scheme to keep him in power.

Now the RNC has resorted to issuing a President’s Day message that not only insults President Joe Biden, but also honors some of the most scandalus Republican presidents or Republicans who would not even be Republicans today.

The tweet noticably insults Biden and doesn’t include any other Democratic presidents, many of whom are considered among the greatest presidents we’ve ever had such as FDR, Kennedy, and Obama. It also leaves off Republicans like Grant and Teddy Roosevelt in favor of Nixon and Trump, who are rated among the worst and most corrupt presidents.

As any student of history should recall, Nixon resigned in disgrace for spying on the Democratic Party. He would have been impeached otherwise. Trump was impeached twice, first for extorting Ukraine in a scheme to open a scam investigation against Biden and his family, and a second time for inciting the January 6th insurrection. Reagan not only ballooned the national debt by rolling back taxes for the rich, he introduced trickle-down that has been crushing the middle class ever since. And that’s on top of the several scandals of his administration such as Iran-Contra.

George W. Bush dragged us into neverending wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and presided over the beginning of one of the most severe recessions since the Great Depression. He also committed war crimes by allowing torture.

As for Lincoln and Eisenhower, both would not recognize the GOP of today and would likely reject it.

Twitter users on both sides of the political spectrum slammed the tweet.

Indeed, the entire Republican Party should be deleted. It’s nothing but a disgraceful organization of traitors who willfully choose to ignore their own history and the history of our nation.
