While she was in Florida on Friday to attend the annual Conservative Political Action Committee (CPAC) conclave, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) also used taxpayer money to attend a conference of white nationalists, where the attendees praised Russian President Vladimir Putin and Adolf Hitler.

HuffPost reports that Greene addressed the third annual America First Political Action Conference (AFPAC) in Orlando, which was organized by Nick Fuentes, a leader of the white nationalist movement in the United States:

Fuentes, an antisemite and racist who attended the deadly 2017 white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, and who was recently subpoenaed for his involvement in the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol, excitedly introduced Greene as the featured speaker from behind a lectern inside the Marriott Orlando World Center, according to a livestream of the event.

In her speech, Greene praised AFPAC and suggesting that its members are “canceled Americans.”

“You’ve been handed the responsibility to fight for our Constitution and stand for our freedoms, and stop the Democrats who are the communist party of the United States of America.”

Other speakers at the conference also spouted racist and homophobic rhetoric, with Vincent James Foxx remarking:

“They want to replace you. Western white culture is the majority culture, to which even non-whites assimilate into today — and they’re better off for it.”

Fuentes made a comparison between Putin and Hitler, but suggested that should be seen as a compliment:

“Now they’re going on about Russia and Vladimir Putin is Hitler they say that’s not a good thing.”

Greene is the second Republican to have spoken to AFPAC. The first was Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ), who gave the keynote address in 2021.
