In a stunning admission that incriminates Donald Trump further in the plot to overturn the 2020 election, Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Ala.) says that Trump asked him to “rescind” the election results and keep him in power.

Brooks, who helped incite the Trump supporters into storming the Capitol on January 6th during a violent speech in which he was wearing body armor, spilled the beans on the disgraced Florida retiree after Trump withdrew his support of Brooks’ campaign for a Senate seat.

“President Trump asked me to rescind the 2020 elections, immediately remove Joe Biden from the White House, immediately put President Trump back in the White House, and hold a new special election for the presidency,” Brooks said, going on to note that he told Trump the election cannot be overturned.

This is yet another damning witness account against Trump that makes it clear he demanded the overthrow of democracy to stay in power despite President Joe Biden winning the race legitimately. Surely, the House Select Committee investigating January 6th and the Justice Department have taken notice.

Of course, Trump responded by lashing out at Brooks.

“Mo Brooks was a leader on the 2020 Election Fraud and then, all of sudden, during the big rally in Alabama, he went ‘woke’ and decided to drop everything he stood for—when he did, the people of Alabama dropped him, and now I have done so also. The people get it, but unfortunately, Mo doesn’t,” Trump said.

This new revelation underscores how crucial it is that the Justice Department finally take action by prosecuting Trump and his cronies. There was clearly a conspiracy to overthrow democracy by whatever means necessary and those who orchestrated or participated in that conspiracy must face severe consequences or else they will just try again and again until our Constitution and way of life are no more.
