Fox News has just signed Caitlyn Jenner to a deal that will make her a political commentator for the right-wing network, and many people couldn’t help but point out how Fox demonizes members of the LGBTQ community and yet thinks Jenner is a great addition to Fox because she’s conservative.
Suzanne Scott, the CEO of Fox News, made the announcement of a contract with Jenner earlier today, Mediaite reports:
“Caitlyn’s story is an inspiration to us all. She is a trailblazer in the LGBTQ+ community and her illustrious career spans a variety of fields that will be a tremendous asset for our audience.”
For her part, Jenner had this to say about the new partnership:
“I am humbled by this unique opportunity to speak directly to Fox News Media’s millions of viewers about a range of issues that are important to the American people.”
The irony and dichotomy apparent in the hiring of Jenner at Fox wasn’t lost on people, many of whom took to Twitter to let their voices be heard.
With Caitlyn Jenner now a Fox News contributor will the conservatives quit watching because she is”OMG, transgender. Will Laura or Kayleigh be outraged if she uses the ladies room? Or because she supports orange guy does she get a free past from their hate speech?
