Following up on his plan to severely tax most Americans so the rich don’t have to pay their fair share, Senator Rick Scott (R-Fla.) slandered liberals while speaking to the Heritage Foundation, calling them the greatest threat America has ever faced. Seriously.
In what appears to be a clear sign that Rick “Medicare Fraud” Scott intends to run for president in 2024, the Voldemort lookalike took the stage to whine about “woke” culture and claimed Democrats are lying about his plan to raise taxes on struggling Americans. Of course, his tax increases are literally in the 11-point plan he unveiled earlier this year, which also included an end to Social Security and Medicare.
But Scott went even further during his speech by declaring that Democrats are the greatest threat that America has ever faced, even greater than both World Wars and the Cold War.
“We survived the War of 1812, World War I, World War II, Korea, Vietnam, and the Cold War. But now today we face the greatest danger we’ve ever faced. The militant left-wing in our country has become the enemy within,” Scott said.
At this point, it should be pointed out that liberals were not the ones who violently stormed the Capitol in early 2021 in an attempt to overthrow democracy and install a right-wing dictatorship. That would be the Republican Party led by Donald Trump. In fact, Rick Scott voted against certifying the 2020 Election.
Scott also conveniently left out the Civil War as one of the greatest threats our country has survived, most likely because his conservative base of voters still can’t get over losing that war and actually believe the Confederacy was a just cause.
It’s just more proof that Republicans like Scott are the true threat to our nation and our democracy. The American people must wake up and make sure they vote against Scott and the GOP in every state across the country in November. Because if Republicans have their way, it could be the last time we can vote at all.
