Debbie Lesko is the GOP congresswoman from Arizona’s 8th Congressional District, and she is outraged that Democrats are trying to pass more common sense gun control that would keep weapons out of the hands of those who have been deemed dangerous to others.
During floor debate on HR 2377, the Federal Extreme Risk Protection Order Act of 2022, Lesko proudly declared that she loves her five grandchildren so much that she would gladly shoot them dead if necessary.
HR 2377, it should be noted, is far from being a radical piece of legislation, as the White House explained when it urged action on the legislation:
“The President has repeatedly called for Congress to pass Federal legislation on extreme risk
protection orders and incentivize States to adopt similar laws of their own. An extreme risk
protection order is a common-sense, effective measure to empower family members, health care
providers, school officials, or law enforcement officers to petition a court to temporarily prevent
a person from accessing firearms if they are found to be a danger to themselves or others.”
But to hear Rep. Lesko tell it, the bill would prevent her from being able to shoot her grandchildren:
“I rise in opposition to HR 2377. I have five grandchildren. I would do anything, anything to protect my five grandchildren, including, as a last resort, shooting them if I had to, to protect the lives of my grandchildren.”
Be sure and read that carefully. She would shoot her grandchildren to protect the lives of her grandchildren. How exactly does that work? And how sick it is to even contemplate such a thing?
Lesko continued her surreal rant:
“Democrat bills that we’ve heard this week want to take away my right, my rights to protect my grandchildren. They want to take away the rights of law-abiding citizens to protect their own children and grandchildren and wives and brothers and sisters. This bill takes away due process from law-abiding citizens.”
Allow me to introduce you to Congresswoman Debbie Lesko of Arizona, who is currently running for office unopposed in her district.
She would like America to know she loves her grandchildren so much she would shoot them if necessary. 😳

Wow! Is it any wonder we have so many mass shootings in this country when GOP grannies like Ms. Lesko are proudly proclaiming that they’re ready to kill their own family members to protect the Second Amendment?
