Donald Trump is in serious trouble that no amount of whining or playing the victim will help him get out of because the FBI reportedly searched for classified nuclear weapons documents at Mar-a-Lago and ended up also finding something even more sensitive.

It was just earlier this year that the National Archives referred Trump to the Justice Department over boxes of documents that Trump took with him to his Florida compound after leaving the White House in January 2021. It turns out those boxes contained classified documents, which the government understandably wanted back.

But despite requests for the return of the documents and a subpoena, Trump illegally kept the boxes under lock and key in his possession. And so, the FBI obtained a search warrant signed off on by Attorney General Merrick Garland and a federal judge and executed it on Monday.

Trump is refusing to publicly reveal the contents of the warrant, which is pretty damning as he continues to insist the search is politically motivated. But it turns out that the FBI was looking for some seriously sensitive classified information that threatens national security.

According to a bombshell report by the Washington Post, the FBI search focused on classified nuclear weapons documents.

“Classified documents relating to nuclear weapons were among the items FBI agents sought in a search of former president Donald Trump’s Florida residence on Monday,” the report said. “Experts in classified information said the unusual search underscores deep concern among government officials about the types of information they thought could be located at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Club and potentially in danger of falling into the wrong hands. Material about nuclear weapons is especially sensitive and usually restricted to a small number of government officials, experts said. Publicizing details about U.S. weapons could provide an intelligence road map to adversaries seeking to build ways of countering those systems. And other countries might view exposing their nuclear secrets as a threat, experts said.”

As if that wasn’t bad enough, the report also noted that Trump apparently had signals intelligence documents stashed away at his compound as well, intelligence that he could potentially use to extort other nations if he hasn’t been using it for that purpose already.

“Former senior intelligence officials said in interviews that during the Trump administration, highly classified intelligence about sensitive topics, including about intelligence-gathering on Iran, was routinely mishandled. One former official said the most highly classified information often ended up in the hands of personnel who didn’t appear to have a need to possess it or weren’t authorized to read it. That former official also said signals intelligence — intercepted electronic communications like emails and phone calls of foreign leaders — was among the type of information that often ended up with unauthorized personnel. Such intercepts are among the most closely guarded secrets because of what they can reveal about how the United States has penetrated foreign governments.”

Needless to say, this is really bad for Trump, everyone in his circle, and the Republicans who are defending him. Trump stole this classified information and kept it at his residence for his own personal gain. He could have sold our nuclear secrets to the highest bidder or used intelligence to extort other nations, thus putting our intelligence operatives and our national security at risk in the process.

Any ordinary person would have been arrested and thrown into a deep dark hole by now if they were hiding this kind of classified information in their home. If Trump supporters truly love this country, they’ll demand Trump’s prosecution for betraying it. Because this could be the worst breach of national security and national intelligence in our nation’s history. That makes Trump an enemy of the state.
