Controversial Georgia Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene may be facing serious legal consequences for allegedly kicking an 18-year-old activist who was merely attempting to ask her a question during a back-and-forth on the issue of gun control.
The Washington Post reports:
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) appeared to kick an unarmed demonstrator during a confrontation outside the Capitol on Thursday afternoon.
Videos posted to Twitter by Greene and the Gen Z activist group Voters of Tomorrow show Greene leaving a news conference while being questioned by activists about gun violence. As Greene approaches a crosswalk, she appears to kick one of the activists, who was walking in front of her.
“Excuse me,” Greene says while at first appearing to step on demonstrator Marianna Pecora’s foot.
“Excuse me,” Greene says again, this time after appearing to intentionally draw back her foot and aim for Pecora’s leg.
“Oh my God,” Pecora, 18, is seen saying in the videos.
Ironically, Greene shared a video of the incident on her Twitter page. That video is now evidence that can be used against Greene if the activist pursues legal action.
These foolish cowards want the government to take away guns & the rights of parents to defend their children in schools.
You have to be an idiot to think gun control will create a utopian society where criminals disarm themselves and obey the law.

Pecora had this to say about the Thursday incident:
“I’m so sorry but I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect members of Congress to not kick an 18 year old citizen.
“Think about the fact that a bunch of kids having meetings in Congress held themselves with better composure than a full grown adult and sitting member of Congress. Put a little more faith in Gen Z. Please and thank you.”
Voters of Tomorrow executive director Santiago Mayer said “we’re talking to our legal team and keeping our options open” when asked if Pecora would be filing charges against Greene.
The group also sent a statement to reporters saying they’re sick and tired of being treated like second-class citizens:
“Far-right Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has spent her time in office launching attacks against our democracy and the young people who will soon inherit it. This afternoon, she took her offenses to another level, as she physically and verbally attacked members of our team. In addition to yelling at our Executive Director, a Mexican immigrant, to ‘go to another country,’ she physically assaulted another young staffer. Gen Z is fed up with politicians who continue to put our lives in danger, and this aggression is one of the most visible examples yet of what we are up against.”
