Tara Setmayer, a former Republican adviser, expressed her disgust with Donald Trump and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) after they defended the Jan. 6 insurrectionists at a Waco rally on Saturday night. Appearing on MSNBC’s “The Sunday Show,” Setmayer referred to the speeches as a “pity party” and full of “whining and yawning.” She criticized their message of “us versus them” and Trump’s suggestion of himself as “justice” and “retribution.”

Setmayer said this type of rhetoric is “very cult leader-like, very dictator and very un-American for a potential presidential candidate.” She went on to say that the same grievances were being repeated and that this “continues to gin these people up until they make decisions like, ‘well, we don’t like our government.’ These people don’t like America.”

Apparently, some didn’t have any enduring love for Trump either as many left the rally only 30 minutes into Trump’s 90 minute speech.

The Tribune-Herald’s Mike Copeland reported that, “Trump arrived shortly before 6 p.m., his plane circling the airport as attendees intently looked to the heavens. He wrapped up at 7:32 in the evening, though quite a few fans did not last that long.”

“About 30 minutes into the rally, the crowd began to thin, with people getting a head start on the walk back to the parking lots, designated and otherwise,” he wrote.

Some who were interviewed claimed they were “tired” and “wanted to go home” after standing on the tarmac waiting for Trump to grace them with his presence. Some might have had enough of Trump’s lies as a “fact checker” would have an easier time pointing out the few things he said over the 90 minutes that were at least “kind of” true. Others may have just gotten sick of the same old “whining” and constant victimhood that sounded like a failing student claiming every teacher ever “hates him.”

Regardless of the reasons, the 15,000 (aprox.) that showed up in Waco were somewhat smaller by the time Trump finished his whining 90 minutes later.
