President Donald Trump absolutely loves to brag about the “beautiful” wall he’s having built on the U.S.-Mexico border, falsely claiming that it’s almost completely built and even going so far as to suggest the wall will be “impenetrable” and impossible to scale.

But a mishap on a section of replacement wall near Calexico, California, Wednesday drew howls of laughter on Twitter.

According to HuffPost, the wind blew over a portion of the “big, beautiful wall” that Trump is having constructed:

“’Luckily, Mexican authorities responded quickly and were able to divert traffic from the nearby street,’ Carlos Pitones of Customs and Border Patrol told the Los Angeles Times.

“He said the panels were newly installed and the concrete anchoring it in place had not yet cured.

“CNN noted that winds of up to 37 mph were recorded in the area.”

If that’s not ironic enough, just a day earlier at a rally in Wildwood, New Jersey, Trump had told supporters:

“And we are now building that beautiful wall. This powerful border wall is going up at record speed.”

To quote Homer Simpson: D’oh!

It didn’t take long for social media to weigh in on the epic fail of Trump’s wall, with Democratic presidential candidate Tom Steyer using  Trump’s own words to troll him:

Others soon joined the mockery:

Is it any wonder the United States is now the laughingstock of the world?
